Stanley Access Technologies

Stanley Access Technologies in Mississauga, Ontario wanted to transform a warehouse door into a dock level loading point for their work trucks. They required the ability to support pedestrian traffic including staff performing loading duties and drivers exiting their vehicles. With pedestrian traffic they also needed safe ground to platform access with an area protected from the vehicles using the ramp and platform. With the extreme climate in Southern Ontario they also needed a durable finish that would look good for many tough winter and summer seasons. Together with Stanley, Nation Ramps designed a unit that met all of their demands to win the contract. Once the contract was awarded the ramp needed to be designed, manufactured, delivered and installed.

The solution was a custom Nation Ramps ground to dock ramp, combined with a level platform and stairway that included a protected walkway. Having worked with customers like FedEx, Walmart and Home Depot, we understood the required deliverables.

Prior to beginning the manufacturing process, our engineering team produced drawings for discussion and approval. Once Stanley management were satisfied and signed off on the design, we engineered, manufactured, delivered and installed the custom ramp, platform and stairway in their Mississauga location within the required delivery timeframe.

National Guard Seeks Custom Mobile Equipment Ramp

Military Procurement Specialist Contracts Nation Ramps For National Guard Custom Mobile Equipment Ramp

Mercaterra Atlantic regularly bids on military contracts and approached Nation Ramps about designing and bidding on a custom mobile equipment loading ramp for the National Guard in Varnsville, South Carolina. The National Guard required a ramp with 50,000 lbs capacity, a maximum length of 35’ and completely mobile. Used for military equipment loading and off-loading they also needed the ramp to be a maximum grade of 9.5°. Together with Mercaterra Atlantic, Nation Ramps designed a unit that met all of the National Guard demands to win the contract. Once the contract was awarded the ramp needed to be designed, manufactured and delivered to Varnsville within a four-week window.

The solution was a custom Nation Ramps Equipment Loading Ramp (EQP50K). Having sold and rented many ramps and platforms to the US Military we knew the demands for performance and quality required for this National Guard project. Prior to beginning the manufacturing process, our engineering team produced drawings for discussion and approval. For the South Carolina National Guard, a Nation Ramps custom EQP50K was the answer to fulfill all of their in-field requirements. With 50,000 lbs. weight capacity, 8.5’ wide ramp, ability to adjust height from 46” to 56” while maintaining a grade of between 7° to 9° and an overall length of 31.25’. Along with the difficult design specs the unit included a high-capacity tire & wheel package with hidden hitch for quick hook up and tow capability. What To Do When You Move To A New Location And Have No Capability To Off-Load

R.E. Michel contracted All About Doors as part of the renovation of a Nashville location prior to a branch relocation. Contracted to upgrade and install new overhead doors; All About Doors needed to be able to off-load materials and equipment at the site. Other contractors faced a similar problem needing a method to off-load at a site where there was no existing loading dock. All About Doors contacted Nation Ramps to find a solution that could be installed and operational within a few days.

The solution was a PLD22K-34×102-50A located in Ridgeway, South Carolina that had just been returned from rental. The R.E. Michel renovation required a ramp with enough load carrying capacity and width to handle off-loading of equipment, materials and even vehicles. They also needed a ramp capable to accommodate the location move. Once the renovation was complete they needed the ability to efficiently move in their inventory. With no loading dock at the site, Nation Ramps simplified everything with ability to handle multiple trailer loads per day. With forklift access they could quickly unload the palatalized inventory, equipment and furniture. Making a complicated, time consuming move efficient and fast.

Short-Term Renovation Requires Nation Ramps Product

Tuttle Construction contacted Nation Ramps after being awarded a renovation opportunity with Birchwood Foods. Tuttle needed to occupy the loading dock area as well as off-load equipment and materials. Due to the volume of the business, Birchwood could not afford to be without a loading dock during the renovation project. Nation Ramps could provide a solution that would allow both operations to work uninterrupted; with Birchwood being in the food industry, a solution had to be clean and aesthetically suitable.

Hensel Phelps is a nationwide company providing home & commercial construction and renovation services. Hensel Phelps was contracted for renovations at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The project included renovations of the critical hospital loading area.
