Alpa Pre-Engineered sought Nation Ramps when they noticed their existing ramp was in need of repair; being faced with the decision to repair the existing ramp or purchase a new one. Alpa Pre-Engineered came to Nation Ramps to see what the options were for a portable loading ramp that could grow with their business.
Initially, Alpa Pre-Engineered was interested in Nation Ramps PLD22k, a portable loading dock that had 22,000 lbs capacity. After understanding Alpa Pre-Engineered’s needs, Nation Ramps recommended the PLD18k, a portable loading dock that had 18,000 lbs capacity, since it would meet all of their needs and at a lower cost.
Whether being used as a portable loading dock or ground to dock ramp the PLD series has the capability to fulfill all their duties. With the winter weather conditions in Ontario, where Alpa Pre-Engineered is located, it is important to maintain a clean ramp surface for traction and safety. The PLD series serrated steel grated decking ensures the ramp is clear and maintains grip no matter what conditions they need to work in.
